Magento once again came out with flying colors in this study conducted by Gartner. Magento emerged as a leader of the pack for the third time consecutively in the digital commerce segment in 2019. However, everything was not positive in the Gartner report. There were some areas of improvement suggested by Gartner. A caution marked in the report was the SaaS offering, especially the single-tenant one. It needs updating to include major functionalities like autoscaling. Another concern raised was about the B2B functionality wherein key features are missing like contract management, expenditure limits, workflow approvals, etc. Another important issue raised in the report was about the integration of Adobe and Magento platforms. The concern was specifically related to partial integration of the AI-enabled personalization and the dynamic multivariate testing. The glitches in the synchronization between Adobe Analytics and Magento Commerce were also highlighted.
Achieving the number one position in the digital commerce segment for three years in succession is not a mean feat to achieve.
