Ingredients
100 Grams of Dink or Edible Gum
4 teaspoons of Ghee
100 Grams of Cashew nuts
¾ teaspoon of Nutmeg powder
500 Grams of Dry coconut
¾ teaspoon of Green Cardamom. Crushed and powdered.
250 Grams of Sugar
250 Grams of Dry dates

Step1: Getting ready with the ingredients
Begin by grating the coconut. Take 3-4 tablespoons of sugar, grind it well, and put it aside. Once done, powder some dry dates.
Step 2: Frying the Gum
Heat the pan for a while. Add the grated coconut to the pan and cook it under medium or low flame until the colour of the coconut changes from white to light brown. Once it's done, put the fried coconut in a bowl. Add a tablespoon of ghee and two tablespoons of gum to the pan. Once the gum puts off, you can take it out with your spatula. Continue this for two or three tablespoons of gum each. Next, set it aside and cool it. Add the fried gum to the powdered dates and mix it well.
Step 3: Mix the dough
Mix the powdered sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, and ghee with the coarse edible gum powder and fried grated coconut in a mixing bowl. Keep it aside after thoroughly mixing it. Please note that the dough should be mixed properly before proceeding to the next step.
Step 4: Make the sugar syrup
In a pan, melt the remaining sugar. Pour in enough water, around one and a half cups. Bring everything to a boil over low to medium heat. To check the texture and consistency of the syrup, you can drop a few drops into cold water. If it forms a crystal, your syrup has got the right consistency.
Step 5: Final Mix and Making
Mix the dough and sugar syrup well. Don't add all the syrup in one go; add half of it and give it a good mix. Then you can add the remaining if required. Follow this step by adding some cashew nuts and set aside to cool. Lastly, when the dough is cool enough to touch, make a small dough the size of a lemon.
