The private-security industry of UK looks after the safety of the public. However, it is important to have the SIA approved license in order to join the private-security industry.
In 2001, the Government of UK passed a private-security act in response to terrorist attacks. This act introduced a set of standards for the private-security industry and set up the SIA (Security Industry Authority). First Part of Training
You learn about the working in the private-security industry through the first unit of this training programme. You learn about the legal aspect of working in this sector alongside learning about the health and safety of the operatives after completing the first unit. You also learn about the fire-safety awareness, as fire may cause catastrophic accidents in many buildings. You learn about the emergency procedures alongside improving your communication skills. You also learn the details of customer care through the first part of training.
Second Part of Training
You learn about the operations of a door-supervisor once you complete the second part of the training. You can learn about their behavioural standards along with the details of civil and criminal law after completing this unit. You also learn how to search or to arrest an individual. You learn how to record different types of events that may take place at a location. You also learn about the licensing law as well as properly preserving the crime-scene. You also learn how to handle the emergency scenarios when guarding a premise.
Third and Fourth Part of Training
You learn about the conflict management procedures. You learn how to resolve, diffuse and avoid conflicts at the third part of training. The fourth part of the door-supervision course is different from all security courses London, as you learn about the physical intervention skills for the private-security industry through this part of training. This part of training is absent in other training programmes for private-security sector. It makes you eligible for the protection of all types of premises including the premises that sell or serve alcoholic beverages.
