The NTR Housing scheme, initiated by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is a landmark program aimed at providing affordable housing to low and middle-income families in the state. Launched in the year 2014, this scheme has become one of the largest housing programs in India, benefiting thousands of people from economically weaker sections of society. The scheme was introduced with the primary objective of addressing the shortage of housing for low and middle-income families in Andhra Pradesh. The government identified the need for such a scheme after recognizing that many families in the state were living in inadequate or substandard housing conditions.
