Two Wedgwood vases marked Fairyland Lustre, one in the King Dragon pattern and the other in the Ghostly Woods pattern, brought a combined $130,500 at an Antique Auction held March 22nd by Woody Auction, online (at LiveAuctioneers.com) and live in the Douglass, Kansas auction hall. The entire contents of the stately mansion home in Aberdeen known as Lauri Mundi will be sold at auction on Saturday, April 12th, beginning at 10am Central time, by Stevens Auction Company, based in Aberdeen. The sale will be conducted on-site, on the grounds of Lauri Mundi, located at 309 South Matubba Street. The home itself is also for sale. “Jim and Debby Lamping have gathered a massive collection of fine items over the past 25 years, from all over the Eastern half of the United States,” said Dwight Stevens, the owner of Stevens Auction Company. He added, “Now, due to ill health, the couple has decided to sell it all.” The mansion sits hidden in the middle of Aberdeen, on 23 acres of manicured grounds. The Illinois Department on Aging recently honored author Charlene Wexler of Richmond, IL, as a 2024 Senior Illinoisans Hall of Fame inductee. Mary Killough, acting director of the Illinois Department on Aging, inducted Wexler into the Senior Illinoisans Hall of Fame and presented her with an award representing that induction on Feb. 21, 2025, in the Fox Lake, IL, office of State Representative Tom Weber (R-64th). “I’m pleased to honor Charlene Wexler with induction into the Senior Illinoisans Hall of Fame,” Killough said at the presentation. “Since the Senior Illinoisans Hall of Fame was created by the Illinois General Assembly in 1994 to honor Illinois residents ages 65 and older for their personal achievements, only about 150 people have been inducted, and we are pleased to have Char join them. “The Senior Illinoisans Hall of Fame honors outstanding older adults who have made and continue to make significant contributions to their communities,” ... Connor and the late Robert Warwick, held March 29th by Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd.
