INDOOR TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR SUMMER CORPORATE MEETING

"Not finance. Not strategy. Not technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare" - Patrick Lencioni.

While most leaders understand the above reality, it is one of the severe difficulties to look for this "elusive elixir" of teamwork. "I don't know how to make something, but when I see it, I will know it." Sometimes the viewpoint gets clouded when one's so close to the action. Often the clever use of experiential learning combined with the power of play artificial barriers is brought down, and the team's innate experience comes to the forefront.

Are you ready to take on The Team Building Challenge?

Scavenger Hunt- Find a lovely day, split out into groups, and have a scavenger hunt across town. You may create it on your own or use an innovative company such as The Go Game or Stray Shoes.  After some fresh air and fun tasks, the squad will be feeling good and rejuvenated. Be sure to take lots of stupid images — you can even have a gallery when everyone ends up regrouping.

Alternatively, you might want to try a "Random Acts of Kindness" scavenger hunt. For example, Outback Team Building & Learning provides a team-building program, which allows participants to break into classes, download the Outback software, and execute a series of challenges to help the community's strangers.

What's my name - You may have seen played this game before. It goes by different names, and the easier it is, the more people who play. What's My Name is a game in which each participant is given a person's name — dead or alive — and shows the name on their back, hand, or body part, so that only the other players may read the name. Some titles can be placed on index cards or Post-it notes.

Once a name has been given to everyone, the players mingle with each other, handling their coworkers how they will take the person identified on that coworker's card. They can also challenge their secret identity questions before they correctly determine who they are.

What's My Name doesn't have complicated rules or competitive potential. It's simply an empathy-builder — a critical ingredient of an excellent corporate culture — allowing employees to find out what it would be like to be treated every day in the way that someone very different from them can be treated.

Cook-off- Here's a team-building cooking experience that could end up in dessert or catastrophe— in a fun way. Creating new dishes together requires creativity and will ensure that everyone puts their work and leadership skills into action. Divide the squad into smaller teams, choose a food category, and ask each group to whip up a tasty item.

Including ice cream and salad, and burgers, the type could be anything.

Could you put an amusing twist? Choose a single ingredient, such as maple syrup or Oreos, that all departments must use. Or, with the shape of their food, have each team get creative— you can make pizzas into almost any form.

Sneak a peak - What do you get by applying a memory test to a Pictionary game? Sneak a Peek. In this game, people break up into groups of at least four and try to reconstruct items from memory.

Using LEGOs, cardboard, building blocks, or a similar collection of design items, a game master must develop an item or framework for each party to replicate. Each group member then has 10 seconds to "sneak a peek" at the structure (which is hidden from view), return to their groups, and describe to their group members what they saw so that they can recreate it.

Each party has its LEGOs, clay, or design blocks. If it isn't complete after a minute of recreating the layout, another person in each party sneaks a 10-second glance at the game leader's target and returns to advise the community further. This rotation goes on until a group is confident the item has been recreated. The Game's Objective? Be the first group to play it.

The simulation lets workers learn project management and teaches them how to perform tasks using feedback from a variety of sources. Also, it's just a fun way to see how good your colleagues are at keeping information.

Boardgame tournament - Here's one way to spark off the competitive sides of your team members without leaving the office. Organize a board game competition across a squad. Especially if your team is pretty big, it may be easiest to pick a single game; then, when they are free to leave their desks and spend some time playing the game, people will sign up for specific time slots.

Office Trivia - What claims quiz night takes place only in the bar? Work trivia is the best way to bring together many friends to stretch the brain in places that don't necessarily apply to their daily work. Split the organization into teams of four or more, and award the teams who earn the most points small prizes.

Escape Rooms - Here's a great bonding activity that involves leadership skills, coordination, reasoning, and patience. If you are looking for a corporate outing bangalore then do check out Breakout Escape Room. Space escape games — Escape the Hall, Puzzle Break, Adventure Rooms, etc. — have become a popular team-building exercise for groups worldwide. Even you can try online escape rooms, which are nowadays very popular team games.

It is how it works: for one hour, a group of people gets 'closed' in a room. They have to find hidden items during that one hour, solve puzzles and work out clues to find the key to set them free. And it's not easy: Before the hour is up, just 20 percent of players make it.

If you aren't sure how to transform your office space into an escape room, you can always contract a company to do that for you. Organizations such as Outback Team Building & Training host events that render the workplace a friendly, team-building experience to run from. And, that can invoke some great, positive memories in an area where your team works every day.

Laser Tag - Another great way to store the adrenaline? An excellent old Laser Tag affair. It's not only great fun, but it's also an opportunity for employees to exercise their strategic, logical then teamwork skills. Bonus: Determine teams in advance, and dress up people.

The Egg Drop Challenge - Chances are, in school or summer camp, you've played that. The Egg Drop Competition is a popular event in which children's teams are forced to create small constructs around an uncooked egg to shield the egg from a heavy fall on hard ground. That team is given specific objects that they can use to create the egg-protecting system but nothing more. So, why not give your colleagues the same challenge?

Straws, newspaper, tape, and cardboard are just a few everyday items offered during the Egg Drop Challenge — as you can see in the sample egg fortification below. Nonetheless, consider making it even more difficult for your colleagues to encourage them actually to do anything at the workplace.

The height of the fall is also up to you but make sure to set a level aligned with the materials with which each team has to function.
