Why propose digital marketing strategies?

Last Saturday we gave the first free talk about Digital Marketing in 021. To be the first it has been a success, we had a great time in a casual, relaxed, and entertaining atmosphere. The plan was not to sell the motorcycle to anyone, it was simply a matter of talking and explaining our experience in some communication projects that we are carrying out in the online environment. We believe that in the same way that we are sharing knowledge from the blog we can do it in person and in a more dynamic and face-to-face way.

Talk Digital Marketing strategies at 021Espai

The content of the talk will be divided into several posts so as not to drop so much content at once.

In this case, we will start talking about the importance of being found on the internet and we will briefly talk about what Digital Marketing is.

Why is it necessary to propose digital marketing strategies?

Nowadays we search for practically everything on the Internet (if not everything). In fact, if we go shopping and see something that interests us, before making the purchase in the same place, we review the characteristics of the product from the mobile phone and previously read the comments or criticisms.

To give us a more global idea, in Spain 72% of the inhabitants have internet, and more than 80% of young people use social networks to communicate. That is, nowadays people use the internet as the most common means of communication after the telephone. Of those people who have internet, in Spain, 99% do their searches directly from Google.

From here, companies fight each other to achieve the best positioning or visibility in search engines (in the Iberian Peninsula, the one that matters is Google). This may sound a bit radical to you, but I start from the idea that if you are not on the first page of Google results based on the keyword that your company defines, you do not exist.

So what is Digital Marketing? It is simply the implementation of all measurable communication strategies and actions to publicize a company on the internet. In fact, today the communication strategies of any company usually are divided into two main areas and complementary marketing online and marketing offline ( marketing traditional ).

However, currently, companies not only use their website to communicate, but they also use other channels to attract the attention of your potential customers. Hence, we began to use the Digital Ecosystem concept. In the Digital marketing company plan of a company, it is not only defined how to improve the resources of a website (optimize) and how to make it climb ranks in Google. The digital ecosystem of a company is the set of all the digital channels that it uses to give presence to its identity (brand) and to convey its message. When I talk about channels I mean Email Marketing, Social Media, Blog, SEM, ... etc.

In other words, if a company is not on the internet, it is leaving aside a great means of communication (for me the most important). In my opinion, I would lose the opportunity to give it the visibility that a business needs. Raising good strategies for marketing digital enable a company to enter into effective, measurable, and decisive dynamics to get its message to attract your customer's potential and turn them into loyal buyers to their brand.
