Setup Amazon Echo Dot Steps to follow:
• Download the Amazon Alexa app on your Smartphone or tablet and open it.
• Choose the ‘Devices’ option present in the lower right corner.
• Press the ‘+’ sign present in the top-right corner or you can tap on the three horizontal lines present in the upper-left corner.
• Click on the ‘Add Devices’ option.
• Click the ‘Amazon Echo’ icon, followed by the Amazon Echo Dot icon present on the next screen. After that, click on the picture of the third-generation Echo dot.
• Plugin your Amazon Echo Dot device using the power adapter. Once you see that the blue ring light turned into the orange, your device is in the ‘Setup’ mode.
• Wait till the Echo dot appear on your smartphone and choose it. Here, you will be prompted for the wireless settings. Once there, select your network known as ‘Amazon XXX’ and get back to the Alexa app.
• Choose the wireless network to which you want to connect the Echo dot device and enter the password if necessary.
• Choose the external speaker that your Echo dot device will be used. If you do not want to connect external speakers, you can skip this step.
• Select the room where the Echo Dot device is located or you can create the new room.
