Thimphu Memorial Chorten is the stupa (Dchongkhachöten) of Thimphu, Bhutan. It is located in Doeboom Lam in the south-central part of the city, near the main roundabout and the Indian military hospital. This stupa was built in 1974 to commemorate the third Jukme Dorji Wangchuck (Jukme Dorji Wangchuck, 1928–1972). It is a landmark of the city with golden spires and bells.  In 2008, it underwent a major renovation. The chorten is commonly referred to as "Bhutan's most obvious religious landmark". Kailash Manasarovar Yatra is a worldwide famous trekking route for adventurers. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra best time is from April to October every year. From the beginning of November to the end of March of the following year, the mountain pass is often covered by snow and ice. However, it is best for travelers to be prepared for volatile weather. At any time of the year, snow may come unexpectedly at the Dromala Pass, and the night temperature is usually below zero. There are more than 300 ethnic festivals in Nepal. In a world like Nepal, few countries stop daily work on festivals. Nepal spends nearly a third of its time every year preparing for the festival. Most festivals in Nepal originated from the worship of various gods. The government stipulates that there are more than 50 holidays.
