Fritz and Lucy Jewett were married on July 11, 1953 and spent the first decade of their marriage in Idaho. They enjoyed art and travel and had a special affinity for Hawaii. Poster Auctions International’s (PAI) first sale of the year, on March 3, finished at $1,609,875. Rare Posters Auction XCII welcomed passionate bidding across various platforms. Jack Rennert, president of PAI, noted that the inclusion of several exceptional posters helped drive the sale. “When you can offer a number of really spectacular posters, it gets collectors excited about the sale overall,” he said. “This auction featured several rare and historic lithographs, billboards, and maquettes, which engaged bidders and led to great competitive fun.” At any auction, there are works that are expected to spark attention and bidding—and then there are posters that unexpectedly evoke fervent competition. Some of the underdogs of this sale include Ida van Bladel’s 1971 Miss Levi’s, which greatly succeeded its estimate of $1,400-$1,700 for a winning bid of $8,750. Raymond Savignac’s 1962 Tintin Orange inspired similar competition, leading ... Continue reading →

The good news is that Peacock’s support reps are speaking the truth. You can, in fact, watch Peacock on Fire TV devices through a process called sideloading, which involves installing the Android TV version of the app from outside Amazon’s app store. (This is possible because Amazon’s Fire TV devices also run a version of the Android operating system.) This process is also easier now than it used to be thanks to the work of Elias Saba over at AFTVNews. Here’s how you can set it up: 1. Install Saba’s free Downloader app on your Fire TV. The easiest way is to use the Alexa button on your remote to say “Downloader.” 2. Before you launch the Downloader app, head to Settings My Fire TV Developer Options Install Unknown Apps, then toggle Downloader to “ON.” 3. Launch the app, then enter the number 81035 into the URL field at the top. (If you didn’t follow step two above, ... Continue reading →

On January 31, 2023, Peacock ended free plan option for new subscribers. Notably, the service launched with a free tier that limited access to the content catalog, excluding new movies, next-day TV premieres, and full seasons of Peacock originals. Now, the only way to stream any of Peacock’s content is to pay for one of the Premium plans. How Much Does Peacock Cost? Peacocktv.com/tv costs differently depending on your streaming package. The official breakdown is as follows: Peacock Premium with Ads: $5.99/month or $59.99/year. This paid plan gives users full access to Peacock TV content (about 20,000 hours of TV and movies), but will include commercial breaks. Commercial breaks during TV shows happen as they normally do, but ads are front-loaded during movies so you can watch the whole movie without interruption. You’ll also be able to watch new NBC and Bravo shows the day after they air on TV, ... Continue reading →

Peacock TV is NBC’s streaming service. The Peacock service has thousands of hours of on demand content, includes live national channels, and gives you your local NBC station. Fortunately, for all the content it gives, Peacock TV also happens to be one of the more affordable streaming services. However, before you shell out the first dollar, it only makes sense to check if there is a Peacocktv.com/tv free trial and to search for how to get the best deals on the service. Here, we take a look at all of Peacock TV’s active plans, free trial promotions, and possible bulk discounts. Does Peacock TV have a free trial? Unfortunately there is no Peacock TV free trial. Peacock used to have a free tier that gave you access to around 10,000 hours of content absolutely free. You didn’t need a credit card or anything to sign up. The only downside was a bunch of ads. But it provided a way to check out the service for free while you considered ... Continue reading →
