Finding Sustainable Clothing Brands in the UK

by mariajordan on Jun 18, 2021 Agriculture 652 Views

Here is a small list of Organic women's clothing brands from around the world that we would like to see represented at the forthcoming Paris Fashion Week. Most of them have been founded in Europe but there are a few others with their production studios in third world countries as well. It makes sense to support these companies where possible especially when it comes to promoting the environmental and ethical side of fashion. These include brands such as Baci, Evisu, Kering and Jean Paul Gaultier. We hope to see more European based small fashion designers take up this challenging art form.

Black owned sustainable clothing brands that you ought to know today, published in all major fashion magazines / online news sites by shopper black a new report released by the workers rights coalition (wrc), showed some of the most shocking and disheartening news from the clothing industry recently. The report highlighted how many famous fashion designers were failing to make any effort to pay their workers fair wages and other important worker rights. Many famous designers including Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Prada are among those that have refused to sign the ugliest contract of rights for workers in the fashion industry. Many high profile designers are still making excuses for not going on a campaign to improve working conditions in the clothing factories in China. This is why it is very important to support these kinds of campaigns wherever you may be.

As the clothing industry grows in size and scope globally, the pressures for ethical brands are intensifying. If these companies wish to stay afloat in the marketplace, they will have to play by these standards. Some of these companies are beginning to take notice of what is happening in the marketplace and are looking to emulate their successes elsewhere in the clothing industry. For example, PVT, the largest clothing producer in Japan now has stated that it will be creating 100 green jobs. This means that PVT is investing in its own green projects and will employ hundreds of people into these projects once the production has finished.

It is becoming evident to consumers that there is a great need for sustainable clothing and that it benefits business both at the individual level and in the wider marketplace. Consumers want to know that when purchasing their clothing they are buying something that has been created without harming animals or the environment. Brands that promote an ethically and socially responsible lifestyle are not only taking a stand for the environment, they are also standing up for the company themselves. Ethical brands are in demand with consumers, and businesses must take notice.

How their products are helping the local people in the areas

An important part of being socially responsible is making sure that you are purchasing all of your clothing products from companies that are aware of their responsibilities towards the local communities where they live and work. There are many clothing companies that supply products to the West Yorkshire area, but do not take the time to hear about how their products are helping the local people in the areas in which they work. For example, many clothing companies send out clothes to the West Yorkshire area on freight from London. These garments can often be very cheaply made because of the low wages many workers earn in the area. Many workers live in an area where the wage is barely enough to survive.

The lack of awareness that many clothing companies have of their responsibility to the local communities where they operate is what is driving consumers away from these types of clothing. There is hope though. A number of ethical clothing companies have taken the initiative and have set up their own environmental departments. By working closely with the communities that they serve, these companies are showing the world that they are willing to do what it takes to improve the conditions for the workers who make their clothing. They are also willing to invest in the future of these communities by training their own people in the areas of sustainable fashion. They want to build a business that looks after the people who make their clothes, and gives them the dignity and respect that they deserve.

The ethical, sustainable clothing market in the UK is growing. However, there is still a long way to go. The companies listed above are only part of the many companies and businesses who have come together to address the issues that are facing the fabric manufacturing industry in the UK. It is up to each of us to take a collective stand and support these businesses that choose to work with the environment. This is a critical time for action - we all need to act now to help ensure that the children in poverty that are born into this world do not have to suffer.

You may have to look very hard to find ethically and sustainable clothing. With the growth of the internet, more online businesses are selling ethically made clothing. You may have to do a little searching, but your search will be worthwhile. Ethical clothing is beautiful, durable, good for the environment, and made with the people who work with their hands every day instead of just outsourcing to other countries where their labor costs are much higher. When you consider how little these companies pay their people and the damage that the clothing industry does to the natural environment, it becomes clear that the ethically and sustainable clothing industry in the UK has room for improvement.
