Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta Limited, India's largest private oil and gas exploration and production business, is taking bold action to tackle climate change by embarking on a sustainable path to produce zero net carbon emissions by 2050. Recently, Cairn has made innovative green efforts to achieve a greener future by forming strategic collaborations with the Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh state governments. The company hopes to sequester about 500,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions through these partnerships by planting 0.75 million trees by 2030, the same as providing annual electricity to 4,500 Indian households.
