In addition, the high sensitivity of these particles makes them suitable for general applications as well as for measuring low flow states or low flow organs such as skeletal muscle and skin.

These new particles are 15 µm (standard size for blood flow studies) and 10 µm in diameter and are unaffected by irradiation or half-life, ensuring safety. Supplied in 10 mL and 20 mL vials containing approximately 2.5 million spheres per mL, the particles are suspended in normal saline with Tween 80 and 0.01% Thimerosal. In addition, CD Bioparticles offers 10 different stable isotopes for particle labeling (additional labels available upon request), including Samarium Labeled Polystyrene Particles (15 μm and 10 μm, dyed blackberry), Antimony Labeled Polystyrene Particles (15 μm, dyed violet), and Ytterbium Labeled Polystyrene Particles (15 μm and 10 μm, dyed kiwi).
