This is what the frsky rxsr receiver does. In a smaller form factor, it provides the same full range diversity features as XM +, but also provides an s-port pin to allow telemetry back to your transmitter.
Let's take a closer look at this frsky receiver and its functions.
Frsky rxsr receiver
The frsky rxsr receiver is a very small, full range receiver, with all the capabilities of their XM series receivers from frsky, but with additional s.port telemetry.
Rxsr is basically a smaller version of the once popular xSr receiver, with smaller form factors, but still maintaining full range capabilities.
Rxsr is the smallest receiver from frsky, which can complete full 16CH SBUs and intelligent port telemetry. This is the current de facto choice for the folksky receiver in the mini four, as it is small and provides all the necessary features for the racing car.

Rxsr is redundant and helps you connect two frsky receivers in a master-slave configuration. This allows your slave receiver to work properly even if you lose range with your master receiver, allowing you to control your ship. This is a concise function when you do long-range flight and helps you prevent micro failures safely.
The only drawback is that two separate transmitter modules are required to connect to each receiver. A receiver (Master) will be bound to the internal xjt transmitter of your frsky station, while the slave receiver will be connected to the external xjt module of the same station, or you can even use a separate station to control it.
Because of the complexity and extra cost of using it, it is only useful for long-range pilots, not racing drivers or ordinary freestyle athletes. If you use fail safe frequently, I suggest you invest in remote modules such as frsky R9m.
Connect to your flight controller
In the previous article, we saw the connection of the frsky XM + receiver. The same is true for rxsr receivers.
Unlike XM +, the rxsr has a connector for the receiver to connect the signal and power lines, so it makes the connection a little easier.
Connect the SBUs line to the SBUs in the pad of the flight controller (do not connect the "SBUs input" line from the rxsr, this line is used for redundant connection).
To power your receiver, you should also connect the 5V and GND pins to the pins on your flight controller. This is enough to power your receiver and provide SBUs signals to your flight controller, but if you also need telemetry, you will need to connect the s.o port pin to a free UART RX pin in your flight controller.
If you are using a F3 / F4 flight controller, you will not be able to use the s.port wire directly from your rxsr receiver because the F4 and F4 boards have only one hardware inverter and cannot invert the s.port signal at your receiver.
Forsky kindly opened the S. port pad without inversion on rxsr. You should weld a small wire, very carefully to that pad and a free UAR RX pin on your flight controller to make the S. port work.
The picture above shows that the pad is a non inverted s-port pad, or even a non inverted SBUs pad, if you have requested it, as well.
The frsky rxsr receiver is undoubtedly one of the best receivers frsky has ever launched, because it contains many functions in a very small form. It has become my de facto Mini Quad or even Mini Quad because it's so small that it can hold boo Hoo!
Rxsr is a frsky receiver that I can recommend without hesitation. As an additional benefit, the receiver can also upgrade the new access protocol, which will make OTA update too!
