There are different types of TAQA (Training, Assessor and Quality Assurance) Awards for the assessors. The Level-3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment is designed for those who want to start their journey as evaluator/assessor. This training program is equally suitable for the individuals who want to learn about the assessment practice despite not working as assessors. You may benefit from having this knowledge-only award if you aspire to work as one of the qualified assessors in UK. This award is also regarded as professional development qualification for quality assurance personnel, HR professionals and managers. This particular award enables you to have better understanding of the principles or practices of assessment without any need for practicing as assessors. In this knowledge-only award, there is no need for practical experience.
The Level-3 RQF is another Award which can be achieved after completing the TAQA-course. This award is suitable for individuals who want to evaluate competence in a work environment through observation, oral questioning/discussion, learner statements, evaluation of work products, participation of witnesses or others and RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). There is no need for the participants to practice as assessors in order to get this award.
The Level-3 Award in ‘Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement’ is another qualification which can be achieved after completing the Level 3 Assessor TAQA Course. This training program is suitable for individuals who want to evaluate the skills and knowledge of others in areas related to their vocation using different methods, such as skill testing, evaluation in simulated work-environments, assignments, projects, RPL or case studies. The assessors also use oral or written questions to evaluate the skills of different individuals. This type of training may take place in classrooms, workshops or other learning setups.
The Internal Quality Assurance IQA Course is a training program for the internal verifiers. This Level-4 qualification enables an individual to progress in their career as an assessor moderator. The IQA-course is also a part of ‘Teaching, Assessment and Quality Assurance’ courses. After completing this training program, you develop the skills to authenticate the functional skills, NVQ, RQF and other regulated qualifications, such as apprenticeships.
There is online and on-premises training programs for all types of TAQA-courses. The online training programs may seem convenient to those who are professionally engaged. After completing this Level-4 TAQA-course, you can internally authenticate the work of the professionals who teach and assess the students, trainees or employees in your subject specialism. You may work as an internal-assessor in different sectors after achieving this award, such as healthcare and social care sector, beauty sector, childcare sector, early years education sector, private security sector, construction sector etc.,
