We're in the kitchen pretty much every day. Whipping up nice tasting meals for our loved ones, and watching the look on their faces when they enjoy it. I spend pretty much most of all my time in the kitchen, as an aspiring chef so it's very easy for me to overlook what's happening at home.

When I get home, I would almost robotically enter the kitchen and start cooking dinner. It wasn't until my young nephew kept asking me what I'm doing, and being curious about the process - as kids are that I took notice of it. I never involve anyone in the kitchen, and I think this is something that I never really considered.

That day, I realized I had pizza pans that I recently picked up as a part of a review I was doing. I thought heck, it might be a good idea to get my young nephew involved and even the whole family.

Now I try to regularly include the family in some fun dishes when we're looking to eat for the sake of having fun. So here are some ideas I've curated for you guys to start enjoying more time in the kitchen with the family with some great tasting dishes that everyone can get involved with.

1. Make Pancakes!

Pancakes are easy to make, you can get your kids or a member of the family to whip up the solution, having something like a pancake dispenser makes the job easy.

Where you can involve the family, is the design part. Everyone likes a good looking dish as much as a nice tasting dish. You can use items such as blueberries, cookie crumbs, and honey to put on top of the pancake, let the kids or other family members do it whilst you cook the pancakes to perfection.

2. Make Pizza!

As I mentioned earlier in the post, I got my young nephew involved with making pizza.

You can get your dough prepared beforehand, and then once everyone's around tell them it's time to start making pizza! When you have some great pizza pans or even simple oven pans laying around, all you need to do is place the dough.

Once that's done, get the family involved and tell them to put their own topics, cheese, and even add their own design. They'll feel a sense of accomplishment once they see their pizza cooking and coming out for them to eat - especially the kids!

3. Make Stir Fry!

Stir Fry is great because it's simple. All you need is a wok, noodles, some stir fry sauce, and whatever other additional vegetables or meats you want to add. 

Where you can get the family involved in getting them to pick the items that they want in the Stir Fry, and then let them watch all of their ingredients sizzle up and become a part of an amazing dish that they've helped create.

4. Make Crepes!

Everyone loves crepes, the sister of pancakes. Once you make the solution, you can ask a family member or your child to help you set them up. They can spread the Nutella, Peanut Butter, and Jelly, and whatever else they want. Tell them to add a nice touch to it by making it presentable to share with the rest of the family.

5. Make Tacos! 

Tacos are easy to make, all you need to buy is the tacos, some mince, and whatever salads or sauces you want. Once you make the mince, set all the sides on the table and allow people to build their own tacos, using all the ingredients at their disposal, this is a great and fun idea for kids parties, as well as kids, love to build their own things, especially after seeing that adults are doing it too. And of course, it's very tasty!

Conclusion

There are often more ways you can enjoy the kitchen with your family. Anything that usually involves a bunch of side ingredients like Tacos, Pizza, or so on is usually a great bet.
